Me & My Parent (18 months -3 years)
This is the first exposure for the young gymnast. The parent is also guided in the direction and involvement to help the child adjust and learn in a friendly, constructive environment. The instructor is there to lead, make suggestions and provide the means for the parent to interact and support the child in learning basic skills.
This is the time when the child becomes able to follow direction and can separate from mom and dad. Little gymnasts will actually begin to learn terminology and taking turns as well as the basic techniques of skills. Group and individual skill and accomplishments will be stressed so that your child can move safely and confidently on in their gymnastics career.
Mighty Flipper is where skills actually "look" like the skills. It is a great time as the gymnast begins to recognize "form" along with basic technical action and the control that is required. You, as a parent, will observe the improvements as your child participates in group/individual skill development, stations, circuiting, strength and flexibility, but mostly the "fun" of gymnastics.
Single Flipper (6 years and up)
Single Flipper is the first level of our general recreation program. For students 6 years and over.
